Joel, a bilingual native of Costa Rica, brings over twenty years of guiding experience across various sectors of tourism and travel. His expertise spans family trips, 11 years of working specifically with teens, as well as leading educational and recreational tours for high school and college students.
Joel has served as a rafting guide, director of community service projects throughout Costa Rica, and a naturalist guide. His journey began with earning a General Tour Guide degree from the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje and a Naturalist Tour Guide certification from the Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad.
Passionate about nature, birds, sports and adventure, Joel feels incredibly fortunate to spend his career showcasing his country and sharing his knowledge with others.
